Testing is a thankless job. Product owners (and their developers) get the glory when it works and testers are the first to blame if it doesn't. A tester's job is to tell product managers when their baby is ugly even if it is difficult to stay friends after that. But, if testers put on rose-coloured glasses, it is just a matter of time unitl the customer does. Worse, if the customer claims that ALL your babies are ugly.
Nope, only Repo Man is doing the thankless job:

Minor typo: Your text "tell a developer of a business analyst" should probably read "tell a developer or a business analyst". This is what happens when you write a great comic for software testing: you get a bunch of software testers to read it, and then we reflexively look for bugs. :)
ReplyDeletethanX a lot for the hint. I just corrected it.
ReplyDeleteJust found you doing a Google search and thought your cartoons are hilarious! Would you mind if I re-posted some of them on our blog?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I thought you might like our "Software Bro Code Blog." As you might have guessed it, it's a funny spin on the software "code of ethics" between software teams. http://lighthousetechnologies.com/blog/software-bro-code
